This video gives you a walkthrough of a utility I use to fix runtime error r6025.  The best part about this video is it shows the various features that are available, and the various checks.  It goes MUCH deeper than I would be able to do on my own with my own knowledge.  It goes so far as disabling malicious IE components that could cause errors such as the one discussed at this blog.

So this utility will run, and will probably run for quite some time.  Be sure to let it run over night, or when you have time to do other things.  You’ll sip more than a cup of coffee waiting for it to finish, especially if your computer is a bit slow to begin with.  Once it’s finished, it will show you a list of things that need attention.  You’ll be given the option to repair these problems, which I’d highly recommend.  The demo software doesn’t repair everything, but it repairs good number of problems, so you can get an idea of what it does.

This is my secret weapon.  There’s a long list of things to try each time I encounter this error, and many times I don’t even mess with that list if I know that this software will work, and most of the time it does.  Hope that helps!
